Last Breakfast
Our last breakfast for the season will be held on Sunday April 22,2012. Breakfast will resume again Sunday September 9,2012. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed their time and dedication to our breakfast year in and year out and also all of you for your continued support.
18th Annual Golf Tournament
We would like to inform everyone that our Annual Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, July 21,2012 at Hidden Valley Golf Course. This will be a 6:45am Shotgun Start.
Cost- $70 per player
Includes:
* Greens Fee & Cart
* T-shirt
* Hot Dogs, Beer and Soda on the course
* Hot meal at the fire company immediately following the tournament- beef, turkey, filling, corn and beans

August 14, 2011 Working Structure Fire
August 14, 2011- At 1:00 p.m Fire District 47 was dispatched along with 56, 42 , Station 1 for the ladder and Pottsville for R.I.T for a Working Fire S. liberty Street, Orwigsburg. 56-01 arrived on scene and reported a confirmed working fire. Upon arrival 56-10 laid into a hydrant and advanced a 1 3/4 threw A side of the structure. 47-11 then approached the building from Delta side with a 2 1/2″ line with foam. Units from 47-10 advanced a 2 1/2″ line from 56-10 threw A side while Ladder 725 went to work on ventilation of the roof. The fire was quickly knocked down but units were on scene for 3 hours overhauling the structure. additional units on scene were station 4, Orwigsburg EMS, Auburn EMS, and the American Red Cross.
July 30, 2011 – Working Structure Fire
July 30, 2011 – At 7:11 a.m Fire District 47 was dispatched for a reported Working Structure Fire W. Adamsdale Road, North Manheim Township. Units from 47,56 and station 4 arrived on scene to a working fire from a 2 1/2 story home heavily involved. Crews advanced an attack line while others established ground ladders and advanced additional lines. The fire was quickly knocked down but the structure did sustain heavy damage to the 2nd floor.

Next Breakfast
The next breakfast will be held on Sunday, March 13th, 2011. Serving hours are from 7:00 a.m. till 12:00 pm.
January 3, 2011 – Kitchen Fire in Orwigsburg
On Monday January 3, 2011 District 47 along with Districts 56 , 42 and SHFD Station 1 and 4 were dispatched to a possible house fire in the Orwigsburg Brough around 6:00 p.m. 56-10 was the first to arrived on scene and extinguished a small fire located in the kitchen. Cheif 56 was in command
December 27, 2010 – House Fire W. Adamsdale Road
December 27, 2010 – At 19:54 Fire District 47, 56, 42, 39 & Station 1 and 4 out of Schuylkill Haven were dispatched to a reported house fire W. Adamsdale Road. Crews arrived on scene and confirmed fire from the “D” side if the structure. Crews quickly opens the walls and extinguished the fire around the chimney. Units were on scene for approximately 1.5 hours. Chief 47 was in command.

Wednesday, December 1, 2010 was a busy day for District 47. Starting with wires down was the first of six calls. Followed by a tree down, an AFA at 110 E. Market St. Orwigsburg, a pole and wires down, another tree down and a search.
